Dressing up Christmas...

With all the beautiful window displays I see everywhere around this time of year,  I felt like making a little Christmas display with some of the miniatures I bought this year.

The shoes and handbags are by Patrizia Santi.  Perfect for a few December parties!

  1. I am so impressed with all of the incredibly tiny details that have gone into the construction of Patrizia's handbag as well as in her tiny pumps! And what is more... the shoes actually look COMFORTABLE; how cool is That!? :D

    1. Haha, yes they do, don't they! What I think is so good with Patrizia's shoes, is that the curves of the soles are 'right'. Also because they are quite heavy in relation to the size of the shoe, they just stand right too. I think Patrizia is the best miniature shoemaker we have. I cannot resist buying a few pairs when she's at the fair. Of course it doesn't hurt that she's always got new styles which are highly fashionable. ;-)

    1. I totally agree! Yes, Patrizia is very, very good. And if not in real life, at least in miniature we can wear beautiful shoes to as many parties as we like. And our feet won't even hurt. Perfect!

  3. Ooooh those are gorgeous! The photos are reminiscent of a shoe store I love here. This looks very much like one of their window displays. Though they don't have the shoes on sterling silver tables. ;-)

    1. Thank you Monique! Patrizia is an amazing shoemaker, she just nails it every time ;-) But seriously, she does. As for the photography, I always have fun setting up a scene with other miniatures I have in my collection and then try to get the composition, lighting and colors just right. Playing with these elements, getting a pleasing picture and even the editing afterwards are all part of my enjoyment of miniatures.
