Speaking of gifts:  the wonderful Christmas stocking was a little handmade gift from my friend Janne from Norway.  Thank you Janne, I love it!

    Dear Josje, Thank you for this beautiful glimpse into the Canal House!!! I LOVE it! Every tiny perfect detail! And I Love the original use of the Nautilus shell and the geode on the mantle! The sparkle from the lit tree is so beautiful reflected in the old mirror! And what a wonderful gift the stocking is! Happy Holidays to you! :)
